Our Mission
Our vision: “Imagining a world where everyone has access to the best knowledge and necessary insights, beyond pharmaceutical approaches, to be fully in charge of their health.”
Although our life expectancy has never been higher, our modern lifestyle puts significant strain on our health and well-being.
Numerous scientific publications continue to demonstrate that non-pharmaceutical approaches used wisely, along with good practices appropriately integrated into our lifestyle, can have a real impact on our health, both in prevention and treatment. In short, living longer but most importantly, in better health.
For such an approach to be effective, it requires both the individual’s involvement and the expertise of practitioners, along with scientific input. But where can we find this reference knowledge on the subject, identify specialists who can support us, or find the products and services available to us?
In a world where “non-conventional” practices are experiencing very strong growth, sometimes with ineffective practices or even charlatanism, at a time when Doctolib chooses to delist all practitioners who are not healthcare professionals, we believe it is essential to make this reference knowledge accessible to everyone.

our story
2019
from idea to launch!
After co-creating Groupe ISIA in 1996, a player in Responsible Digitalization, Jean-Marc Durand and his partners wanted to put their experience to work for a societal cause. This cause is that of more integrative, responsible, inclusive healthcare accessible to as many people as possible.
Kalya was launched in Montpellier and Seattle in October 2019, relying on a multidisciplinary team (doctor, researchers, data scientists, developers). It quickly received support from BPI France and strategic partnerships with research laboratories.
2020
from R&D to first recognitions!
During the first 2 years, Kalya invested in research and development of unique technology, based on AI coupled with medical-scientific expertise. This know-how allows listing, sorting, analyzing, and valuing relevant data from research on non-pharmaceutical approaches.
The KALYA Research artificial intelligence tool, the first research assistant dedicated to exploring and analyzing scientific literature on cancer & non-pharmaceutical therapies, became operational in 2020.
Institutions such as the Regional Cancer Institute of Montpellier (ICM), AG2R, Inter Mutuelle Assistance turned to Kalya for their projects based on non-pharmaceutical interventions.
That same year, Kalya was recognized as one of the most innovative startups in Healthcare and represented France at the WISH 2020 Summit in Qatar.
2021
from research world to practitioners
Kalya developed a disruptive indicator, building on collaboration with a university research laboratory. This indicator is the only one of its kind in the world that can estimate the effect (efficacy, certainty) of each non-pharmaceutical approach on different health variables.
The Kalya Pro application integrates this innovation to be launched at the end of 2021, aimed at healthcare and wellness professionals and practitioners, to optimize their non-pharmaceutical support.
2022
community development
Several partnerships with professional unions and federations were signed (Union of Naturopathy Professionals, Osteopaths of France, …) and Kalya Pro users multiplied.
2023
the application grows
The commercial development of Kalya Pro continues: Kalya Pro is integrated into professional software; laboratories and healthcare establishments subscribe to Kalya Pro.
Kalya Pro enriches its solution, notably adding to the scientific base a “clinical/field experience” vision through testimonials from practitioners and healthcare professionals. Analysis of relevant scientific publications, written by experts, emphasizes continuous training.
The team is strengthened to continue increasing the number of evaluated health problems and conditions.
Since summer 2023, a new simplified and free version of Kalya Pro is accessible to all, in addition to the complete version reserved for healthcare and wellness professionals and practitioners.
